Oh my word, what a weekend! The past few days have been quite a whirlwind my friends. With the Thanksgiving holiday, a wedding, and automobile malfunctions, it's safe to say that I am exhausted. As much as I would love to go on a rant, share details, and...well...whine, this blogging space is for pretty things, and pretty things only! So with that said, I give you your weekly dose of shoes!

I recently visited Payless in search of a shoe for my sister's wedding. {Coming up in just over a week I might add!} While I didn't find what I was looking for there, I may have discovered a few other little gems. I knew that there were a few designers working with Payless, but I had no idea that { Lela Rose } was one of them! Check out the { Women's Windsor Mary Jane Pump } Lela Rose for Payless for only $54.99! What a steal. 

For an extra added bonus, I could help but show you dolls these two little beauties. Purses at Payless, who knew? These are also from the Lela Rose line.

Big Moment!

Oh, what a weekend!

The past few days have been rather fantastic. Starting with the USMC Birthday Ball and ending with my first official Wedding Show, I think it's safe to say this packed and fun filled weekend was grand!

Sunday afternoon I attended a wedding event hosted by { The Terraces on Sir Tyler }. This "Wedding Party" as it was called, had some of the greatest wedding professionals in town, including my new favorite Kickstand girls. Courtney and Kate were gracious enough to not only let me design all the paper goods for their space, but to even showcase a few of my own personal designs. I was thrilled! It was lots of work and I spent way too much time at our local coffee shops, but after a few days, I completed invitation suites, menus, place cards etc. Some of which turned into some of my best (and favorite) designs! With my iPhone glued to my side for the first hour, I snapped as many photos as I could! I had to document my first wedding show...big moment. Granted, these are iPhone quality, but I didn't do half bad. On the bright side, the official photos were taken by { Theo Milo Photography } and should be up soon!

Again, I am so thrilled that I was able to be apart of such a great event! What an experience...hopefully there will be more to come.

Happy Tuesday Shoesday all!

Must get organized!

My girl cave has been coming along quite nicely. In fact, I'm rather proud of it! While I do not have the budget for extravagant decor and large furnishings, I have been able to make the space my own with a little bit of creativity and a DIY attitude.

Today I decided it was time to get organized! My junk has been lying around in piles with no home. Craft paper, projects, supplies...this stuff needed to go somewhere. I went on a hunt to all the major stores in the area with hopes of finding cute boxes or organizational containers {with tops!} to put all of my things in...in a cute way of course. 

What did I find? Zip. Zero. Nada. I couldn't find what I wanted. Either I am extremely picky, or what I want just doesn't exist. So instead, I traveled to Michael's as my last hope. 

Instead, I found something much better! Their Recollections line was just what I needed. And extra bonus, they were having a 40% sale! WIN. They carry a modular storage line that is perfect for organizing. With this great sale, I bought two! And hopefully in the future, I can buy a few more and just add to my awesome organizing system. 

What seemed rather complicated to put together, was actually a very easy system. While I'm left with a few blisters because of the screwdriver, it all worked out rather nice! If I do say so myself. 

I'm quite pleased with my final product! Keeping all of my supplies neat and tidy, just the way I like it.

I just love creative brides! They thing of the neatest things sometimes. If you're like me, it's all about details. Even down to the smallest item, everything is important. Even the bottom of your shoes.

Big news!

Ladies and gentleman, I have fantastic news...times two!

Before our regularly scheduled { Tuesday Shoesday } post, I have something to share. Over the past few weeks, I have been in contact with the ladies from { Kickstand Events } here in Wilmington. I took a chance, wrote an email...and smack! Opportunity was knocking at my door.

I am proud to announce that I am officially teaming up with this wonderful event company! Kate and Courtney are two of the sweetest girls I've met and I am beyond excited to work with them. They run a pretty fabulous business, combining event and floral design. I can not wait to see what's in store!

I never though after such a short time of being unemployed I would be scooped up. What a dream!
