Have a fabulous weekend!

Not much posting on my end this week, yes, yes...I know. Guilty. It's been a pretty jam packed week at my real world job, but I am looking forward to a fabulous weekend! A best friend of mine shall arrive in just a few hours and we have a fun-filled evening and weekend ahead of us. Concert tonight, sunbathing tomorrow. Hopefully we'll look as glamorous as she does..

Have a fabulous weekend darlings!

Tuesday Shoesday

Maybe it's the high wedge, maybe it's the girly yet ultra-chi style, or's just a downright stunning shoe. But I must say, this { Badgley Mischka } beauty is simply gorgeous.

Happy Tuesday Shoesday friends!

Coasters. Yes, coasters.

Coasters have never looked so darn cute.

What started out as a hunt for adorable knick knacks for my new office area quickly turned into coasters. Yes, coasters. But not just any coasters. The most adorable coasters in the world.

Let's back track for a minute. If you aren't already aware, 'Keep Calm and Carry On' is my mantra. I've quickly collected a number of items with these inspiring words and fully intend on continuing with the collection. In my new office area, the phrase is nailed on our wall, literally. But, I decided to change one thing...the word 'carry' is now 'Carey', my boyfriend's last night. Cute right? Keep Calm and Carey On. (Thanks Caroline!) So anyway, I wanted to add a few more 'Keep Calm and Carry On' goodies to the office. Which is how I found these.

Introducing { Mable Mae } from Moore, OK. I'm honestly giddy inside about these coasters. I can't decide which I love the most! Which one will match my new desk? My chair? Ah! I thought I was set on my favorite quote, but now...

Adorable! Positively adorable. Which ones should I get? Flags vs. Keep Calm. Who knew coasters would be so fun?

Sail Away

I always tell myself, "Alex, stop shopping. Save your money. You need that money for more important things." But then here's what happens. A little email from Lulus, or Old Navy, or The Gap pops up in my inbox saying "We love you! Have 50% off today!" How am I not supposed to show them I love them too? Which brings me to my point...

A little coupon code came in my inbox today from { ModCloth }. How could I resist? It goes without saying I'm into nautical things these days, so I typed in my search field and came across a trillion goodies! Blue and white stripes? A pop of red? Little whales on necklaces? You're killin' me ModCloth, you really are. Sail away with these nautical inspired pieces...

1. Brighton Early Dress
2. Cable Channel Necklace
3. Set Sail Scarf
4. Sea What I Mean Bag
5. Easy Sailing Ring
6. Simple Summer Day Sandal

Okay, so you see my problem? How do I say no with so many cute things. Resisting the urge...except for that necklace. It's mine. Coupon code wins today!

Home Office, Here I Come!

I decided not too long ago that I was in desperate need of my own space. A room to set aside to think, blog, design, craft. A little nook to call my own. While my boyfriend was deployed, I kind of turned our sunroom into my own little DIY project, adding a few things here and there, but we never officially decided what was to be done with the room. Hunting away on craigslist for fun {I always like to take a browse once in a while}, I discovered a little gem. An unfinished table calling my name. That's when the light bulb struck and I decided the sunroom would become my office.

Apologies for the crummy photo! And unfinished chair...
This table was on the market for $85 and exactly what I was looking for. Simple, clean, sturdy...and right down the road! I struck up a deal with the owners and the table was mine. I immediately got to work!

After only a few days of labor, the table was finished! So here it is! All set and ready to go with my newly refurbished office chair. {Thanks to my wonderful man} Ah, having a boy in the house once again has it's perks.

Primed, painted, and striped! I'm actually pretty proud of myself. I was a little intimidated by the painter's tape, worried my stripes wouldn't be perfectly straight. {I'm a little crazy like that} but after a little patience, a ruler and some serious measuring, I made them pretty darn perfect! I chose a pale baby blue as my accent color, and I'm pleased with my choice.

The room is coming together quite nicely, and I'm pretty excited. Perhaps a few photos when it's all done and ready for the world to see! Now to gather cute organizers, picture frames and a new mousepad to make my desk just right...

Yay America!

Hello Tuesday!

I do hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. The 4th of July is by far one of my favorite holidays. Full of American spirit, fireworks, great weather, and fun! And hot dogs...and sparklers...and all those wonderful things that come with it! Yay America!

After enjoying the wonderful three day weekend, it's time to get back into the swing of things. Today, I came across this little patriotic goody and had to post!

This darling printable was created by { The Crafting Chicks } and was just too cute, I had to post. This little design can be printed up to 16 x 20! Pretty great for a download. I just love it, I am determined to find a home for it in our apartment.

More posts coming your way!
