Home Office, Here I Come!

I decided not too long ago that I was in desperate need of my own space. A room to set aside to think, blog, design, craft. A little nook to call my own. While my boyfriend was deployed, I kind of turned our sunroom into my own little DIY project, adding a few things here and there, but we never officially decided what was to be done with the room. Hunting away on craigslist for fun {I always like to take a browse once in a while}, I discovered a little gem. An unfinished table calling my name. That's when the light bulb struck and I decided the sunroom would become my office.

This table was on the market for $85 and exactly what I was looking for. Simple, clean, sturdy...and right down the road! I struck up a deal with the owners and the table was mine. I immediately got to work!

After only a few days of labor, the table was finished! So here it is! All set and ready to go with my newly refurbished office chair. {Thanks to my wonderful man} Ah, having a boy in the house once again has it's perks.

Primed, painted, and striped! I'm actually pretty proud of myself. I was a little intimidated by the painter's tape, worried my stripes wouldn't be perfectly straight. {I'm a little crazy like that} but after a little patience, a ruler and some serious measuring, I made them pretty darn perfect! I chose a pale baby blue as my accent color, and I'm pleased with my choice. 

The room is coming together quite nicely, and I'm pretty excited. Perhaps a few photos when it's all done and ready for the world to see! Now to gather cute organizers, picture frames and a new mousepad to make my desk just right...
