{ Wedding Invitation }

I am more than thrilled about today's post! A project I have been waiting to post for weeks...A wedding invitation designed by yours truly.

A dear friend approached me some time ago about creating a wedding invitation for her upcoming ceremony. After discussing themes, ideas, thoughts and more, I soon realized this project was going to be a challenge! Now, I love nothing more than a challenge, and even better, a unique one. After deciding the inspiration for this invitation, it was established that the invitation was to be viewed online. I had to make this old hollywood, vintage purple inspired invitation beautiful enough to wow the viewers online. And, it was to be accompanied by a reception only invitation. This unique task turned out to be a pleasant experience! The bride and groom were extremely pleased, and I was a happy designer. Completely happy with my design, which doesn't come around often!

So here it is!

I am so lucky to have been chosen to create an invite for my friend! It was a wonderful experience and I adore the invites! Oh! And so does the bride and groom. :)

I usually spend quite some time searching for the oh-so-perfect { Monday Marvel } for my readers. I want them to feel just as inspired, amazed, and giddy as I do when I see them for the first time. Today, I have reached a new level.

{ Nonpareil Magazine } is beyond inspirational. An online magazine created to awaken a creative side you never knew you had. When planning a beautiful wedding, this gallery of stylish and DIY projects, really takes the cake. It includes fabulous craft projects, printables, and templates and tips for planning weddings and other stylish occasions. Aka, the ultimate inspirational magazine.

This month's issue, December 2010, is choc full of goodies.

{ Wedding Wednesday }

I'm switching up today's { Wedding Wednesday } just a tad! Yes, it has to do with a couple getting married, but instead, it's an engagement shoot! And not just any engagement shoot mind you, a Mad Men inspired one. It screams 60s glamor and I absolutely adore it. I feel like these are screen shots of a movie...I love! These photos were taken by the talented { lunaphoto }.

{ Monday Marvel }

It may come as no surprise to you that sooner or later, I would have to feature my sister's photography on my blog. Now, for those of you who are not aware, my sister Marisa is the fabulous photographer and creator of { misa*me photography }. She recently ventured into the wilderness, and by wilderness I mean the somewhere in the forests of Howard County, Maryland, to take a few shots of a bride in hopes of doing one thing...trashing her beloved wedding dress!

Yes, that's right...today's { Monday Marvel } is a trash the dress! This girl had guts, let me tell you. She dove right in, dress and all. Hubby even joined in too! I'm sure it was somewhere around 30 something degrees, but you would think it was a warm spring day by the way she was posing. Not even phased! That's what I call awesome.

{ Holiday Cards }

Starting to feel that holiday spirit? I know I am! Christmas music has been playing in the office since before Thanksgiving and I feel like Christmas is a comin'! Scoping out the new holiday trends on Etsy, I discovered { Anita Ashfield-Salter } aka Monkey Mind Design! This Art Director decided to go back to her roots of crafting by hand and boy does she do a great jobs. These are but a few of her adorable holiday card designs!
